ROBERT VALLIER

His early business life saw international performance and recording and associated marketing and PR an everyday routine.  Touring extensively, he embraced the intricate conceptual development and presentation of the artistic image as well as strong commercial management, marketing and distribution. He has spent over 30 years in the Arts.

For his close friend the late Sir Patrick Moore, Robert created the Into Space! series of theatre lectures and books, which he published.  Moving into other areas of entertainment as well as publishing and writing he remained active in Public Relations, excelling in communication and presentation.

He is Director of the Verne Vallier Collection, a unique assemblage of music and musical memorabilia dating back to the 1800s and to the purest of the romantic composers and traditions.  It is one of the most valuable private archives on music heritage from the Romantic to the present era in existence today.

In his charitable activities he was responsible for management & concept development in sending via sponsors British Airways more than 5½ tons of books as catalogued working libraries to needy schools in South Africa.

As an author, Robert’s first book, SPIDER 2-3, became an Amazon #1 Best Seller and reached #40 in the UK in WH Smith’s Top 100 List.  His latest book, DECOY 17, similarly became an Amazon #1 Best Seller in the same month of its release.

Robert Vallier holds a Private Pilot’s Licence and over many years has flown aircraft in the UK, USA, around South Africa and in Europe.  When he isn’t working on a book, or enveloped in music, he can be found up in the air flying, or at the home ranch thinking about the next Big Adventure.

Hear Robert talk on the BBC about his life, musical background and close friend the late Sir Patrick Moore.
