It’s a very famous landmark in Berlin. It’s a good meeting place too. Berliners call it ‘der Hohle Zahn’, meaning ‘The Hollow Tooth’.
However by 10pm, the Kurfürstendamm is much quieter. Already, the cars are fewer in number, the pedestrians have largely disappeared and the light is less dazzling.
And by 2am the original Church building – what remains of it – is left eerily quiet.
A perfect place for a meeting between old friends.
A perfect place to pass on some information.
And the perfect place for a murder.
Which is the subject matter of Chapter 1 of Spider 2-3.
